The Best Flame Resistant Polyurethane Foam Insulation In New Orleans

One of the many excellent features of EcoGuard Hi-Renewable Open Cell Foam product is its natural ability to resist flame spread. This local spray foam material contains all the standard excellent benefits of typical open cell foam while excelling in renewable resource material and flame/smoke test results.

More than any other spray foam insulation, this selection of open cell far surpasses the industry standard SWRI 99-02 flame tests for acceptance requirements for spray polyurethane foam. Open cell spray foams, among many building products, introduce brominated diols as a flame retardant to meet Audited ASTM E84 “Class A" or “Class 1” standards. Unfortunately these fire retardants are very toxic and have been on the EPA's Abandonment List due to their potential health risks. However, due of the highest level of renewable resource content used in EcoGuard Open Cell spray foam no toxic flame retardants are used and it contains the lowest level of isocyanates of any spray foam on the market. This ensures a healthier working environment for EnviroGreen’s licensed sprayers and a safer home for the homeowner, especially anyone who has a low tolerance for chemical off-gassing.

Not all foams are created equal. EcoGuard Open Cell spray foam insulation demonstrates unprecedented fire-resistant properties passing the large scale crawl-space comparison test (SWRI99-02) with a record breaking time of 26 minutes--at which point the fire source was completely consumed, forcing the termination of the test. No spray foam insulation has ever made it past 9 minutes.
